Lance has been serving clients in the financial services sector since 1989. He leads a dedicated team that specializes in providing tax and accounting services to high-net-worth individuals, their families, and businesses. Lance’s philosophy is to plan for the client’s long-term financial well-being; planning for 10 to 20 years is standard, as is integrating the client’s next generation of leadership into the process. This long-term philosophy is woven into the fabric of what we do.

His outlook and analytical approach have earned Lance a reputation for being a critical thinker on a global macro scale. In February 2008, 6 months before the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Lance was interviewed in the Australian newspaper and predicted a global financial meltdown, which we now know as the 2009/10 Global Financial Crisis. Accountancy Invest clients were well prepared, and many financially benefited from the crisis of 2009/10.

This seminal prediction led to almost ten (10) years of monthly appearances on Foxtel’s Sky Business Channel, “The Switzer Show”, an internationally telecasted TV program that discusses events shaping the Global Financial landscape. His unique perspective of providing tax, corporate structuring and advice distilling global events impacting client businesses has ensured long-term client wealth accumulation.

In 2013, Lance was elected to the Global Board of the prestigious “Entrepreneurs Organisation” (EO) in Washington, DC. EO is a by-invitation organization of over 15,600 entrepreneurs who are company founders or controlling shareholders. This high-profile appointment was the culmination of volunteering in his community in Not-For-Profits since 1993.

Lance was responsible for the global finances of EO, whose presence spans 60 countries and 239 cities. As one of 9 Directors on the Global Board, Lance’s role was to lead the organization’s finances “to help entrepreneurs achieve their full potential”. Lance served three (3) years from 2013 to 2016.

Lance brings his wealth of global corporate experience and valuable contacts to the clients of Accountancy Invest.

Early Career Highlights and Community Service

He started his career at Deloitte for five (5) years specializing in Investigations and Restructuring while earning his Chartered Accountant designation; from these beginnings, Lance learned to identify core issues at hand quickly in any business situation. Communicating difficult situations and “talking straight” with different stakeholders was his daily order of business. His specialty sectors were Clubs, Pubs, Restaurants, and The Rag Trade, from fabric mills, fashion design, and manufacturing, to clothing retail.

He served on the Board of the Sydney Chapter of EO from 2005 to 2011, culminating in him leading the Sydney Chapter as President in 2010/11.

He served on the Board of “Goon Yee Tong Inc.” a 150 year of Chinese Society, as Vice-Treasurer from 2013 to 2018.

He served as the Treasurer of the Asian Australian Artists Association from 1998 to 2001

He served as the Treasurer of the Business Enterprise Centre (Northside) Ltd from 1997 to 1999

Lance has had “the golf bug” since 2019 and is on a mission to play all of Australia’s Top 100 Courses. He is a Member of Avondale Golf Club.

Lance loves to travel and learn about different perspectives from friends worldwide.

After growing up above a Chinese restaurant in Sydney’s Chinatown, Lance loves good food and wine.

Julyn commenced her Accounting career in 2015 in a multinational commercial enterprise and joined Accountancy Invest in 2018.

She is an excellent communicator and distinguishes herself as a leader by strategically analyzing clients’ needs and mobilizing our human resources to meet and exceed clients’ expectations.

Julyn has extensive experience in commercial accounting, management accounting, and tax compliance for individuals, private companies, and multinationals. Multi-currency accounting is a forte, and her other experiences make her a specialist in Self-Managed Super Funds, Trusts, Not-For-Profit Associations, Audits, Budgeting, and Tax planning.

Julyn is an expert in “Futurli”, a next-generation programmed financial tool that automatically extracts information from financial accounts. Using technology to handle “big data”, she assists several advisory boards by preparing monthly management reports and critical points of discussion for board meetings. She regularly makes presentations with CEOs or CFOs at Board meetings and provides strategic business consulting advice.

She loves expanding her knowledge of Computer Science, which compliments the need to keep up with the ever-changing world of “Artificial Intelligence” in financial reporting.

She loves to read widely and has a passion for self-discovery and self-improvement books.

Kelly provides tax services to small—to medium-sized businesses and their high-net-worth owners. Her specialties include intergenerational wealth and tax planning, creditor high-value loan covenant compliance reporting, and corporate tax structuring.

Known for her intuition, she anticipates clients’ needs by asking the right questions to present solutions to avoid problems. This personality trait, combined with her determined work ethic, means she is respected and admired by her clients and colleagues.

In her spare time, Kelly has undertaken many successful artistic endeavours:

• She loves photography and has freelanced as a photographer during her studies

• An accomplished pianist with certificates at Associate in Music A levels, she has taught students to support herself for many years and recorded cover songs
• Her latest hobby is dancing. Kelly’s drive has led this activity to the production of dance covers for “KPOP” dance groupsproduction of dance covers for "KPOP" dance groups.

Peter provides clients with a wide range of tax-related services, from planning, compliance and tax office negotiations. He leads our team in servicing self-managed superannuation funds and government stimulus packages during and post-pandemic.

Besides his technical expertise, clients love the consistency of his services. He is known for returning work promptly and communicating with clients to deliver as promised.

He joined Accountancy Invest in 2017.

His prior experiences include working for the global tech giant Infosys Limited in the Czech Republic.

He enjoys watching documentaries, TV debates about international financial or political affairs, and listening to music on his days off.

Jennie gained her basic training in business services, accounting, and tax with one of the “Big 4” Accounting Firms and joined Accountancy Invest Pty Ltd in 2019.

Jennie is a great communicator that consistently delivers as promised. She leads a team at Accountancy Invest that supports businesses in their day-to-day management accounting and operational needs. She coordinates and manages our “Virtual” CFO Services, alongside Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Management Reporting Services. These services are broad and include payroll to KPI monitoring.

She is also accomplished in completing Trust, Company, and Individual Tax Returns.

Fun Fact

In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games and video games. Jennie sometimes likes to play Ukulele and spends the Sunday afternoon watching some movies.

Steve Joined Accountancy Invest in 2021 and works with clients from different cultural backgrounds with several multi-million-dollar projects. Steve is a team member with a responsible and creative mindset agreed to several months ago.

Steve specializes in commercial/residential property analysis. He actively participates in the development application and income projection phases. He assists clients by working with real estate agents, architects, and consultants to achieve their investment goals.

He supports the team in drafting annual accounts and tax returns of organizational groups and individuals with complicated transactions. He is adept at dealing with the Australian Taxation Office for various matters, from lodgement extensions, General Interest Charges, penalty remittances, and variation of lodged Returns.

Fun Facts

Steve is passionate about his health and fitness, regularly attending the gym to improve his strength and physique. As a reward, he loves trying new foods, especially restaurants with chef hat awards in Australia or Michelin rated abroad.

Steve is keen on hip-hop music and road trips across Australia.

Yami joined Accountancy Invest in 2023 and has worked with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her role involves managing accounting and tax compliance tasks across various business industries, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately documented, reconciled, and compliant with regulatory standards.

With a strong foundation in accounting principles, Yami has developed excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks. Her expertise spans multiple industries, where she oversees critical aspects of accounting and tax compliance, ensuring precise and timely processing of financial data to support business operations.

Outside of work, Yami is passionate about travelling and reading. As a lifelong learner, she constantly seeks opportunities to explore new cultures and gain knowledge from diverse perspectives.

Angel began her accounting journey in 2019 at a global auditing and accounting firm before joining Accountancy Invest in 2024. She has gained valuable experience in Indian and international accounting, auditing, and tax compliance, working with individuals, private companies, and multinationals across various sectors.

Angel specialises in supporting business compliance and financial analysis. She understands accounting principles and industry-specific software, particularly in manufacturing, trading, and service organisations. While still early in her career, she is dedicated to developing tailored solutions that enhance compliance and client relationships.

Angel assists the team in preparing financial statements, ensuring tax compliance, and providing accurate data analysis to support business decisions. She is continuously building her expertise to contribute effectively to client projects.
